Materials
PETG
PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) is a great all-purpose material for medical packaging applications. It features excellent clarity, ease of sealing, and is readily EO- and Gamma-sterilizable.
HIPS
HIPS (high-impact polystyrene) is an excellent choice when clarity is not required. It is lightweight, with high toughness and impact resistance, and can be sterilized via most sterilization methods.
PVC
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a go-to material for many medical trays. It is forgiving to seal to, highly ductile, moisture-resistant, and fully sterilizable.
